I finally gave my Zebtoonz website an overhaul. I did the whole site using Xara Designer Pro 7 which made it quite easy to do. For one, I am very familiar with XDP however I had never tried to use any of its web design features before. But I found it to be very simple to understand and easy to get the look I wanted. There is virtually no coding that you have to do and it's all WYSIWYG. You place the text and images and so on where you want them and the program does all the work for you. You can even publish the site directly from Xara. So that was a major milestone for me. If I ever have any other websites to design I'll stick with Xara for doing them.
My latest animation just got posted on WorshipHouseKids! It took me awhile to complete as my personal projects kind of go on the back burner while I work on whatever freelance projects I have to do. But, in any case, it finally got done. Now I have to figure out my next project. I'm thinking of doing the first episode of the Herbert and Bert show that I announced a very long time ago. But we'll see!
I always enjoyed watching or reading about behind the scenes where you get to see what went into a particular movie, art or project. So today while going through some of my files I came across this sketch which I did for the Parable of the sower animation. It has some of my designs for the characters, some of which I used and some not. There's kind of a beauty in the simplicity of the drawings and it's fun to see how they began and compare it to the final production. If you like these I have plenty more on hand to show.
